These brackets hold the plastic wheel-arch liner in the rear of a gen 1 Vanquish to the tub.
These spacers are made of high grade aluminium and are powder coated. They are supplied with all the required black stainless steel fitting hardware and self adhesive isolating tape.
When steel is bonded/bolted to aluminium without a suitable barrier, galvanic corrosion can set in and eats the aluminium.
In the Vanquish one of the known corrosion points is the spacer in the front of the rear wheel-arch.
As standard, these are made from mild steel and were bolted directly to the aluminium tub. If they were painted to start with the painter must have been in another room! To make matters worse, the plastic arch liner is fitted behind the 'lip' of the bracket so any water or debris is channelled between the plastic arch liner and the bracket.
