The convertible roof modules (CRM) are known to fail across all convertible VH models, This includes DB9/DBS Volante, V8 Vantage Roadster, And Vanquish 2 Volante.

The module is the same across the listed models. Software changes between variants make the module V8 or DB9 etc.

When these modules fail, they usually corrupt the low speed CAN network. Symptoms include intermittent dashboard failure, convertible roof not operating correctly and other seemingly random electrical issues.

We replace the faulty components on the circuit board and we have opted to add additional  components to protect the module from future voltage spikes which we believe to be the root cause. We believe that these will stop this happening in future (but only time will tell). We then upload the latest version of software for your car.

Early DB9/DBS do not allow control of the rear quarter light window outside of roof operation, The later software can be used on these cars to gain this function.
